Brawal Shipping Nig. Limited came into being on the 9th of December, 1981, as a Public Liability Company registered with the Corporate Affair Commission

 It is an offshoot of the Aeromaritime (Nigeria) Limited which was incorporated in Nigeria as a company in 1974 for the main purpose of bringing her expertise in assisting the Government in decongesting the Port during the era of the cement armada.

The success recorded by Aeromaritime and the desire to be part of the solution to the problem of ship turn-around-period and other shipping hiccups associated with Port congestion that characterized the Nigerian port as at that period led to the birth of Brawal Shipping Nigeria Limited.

 A totally new Ship innovative technology was introduced to the Nigerian Port space.              

With above principle in mind, Brawal Shipping went for Baco Liner vessels that does not experience Port delay because of its unique operations. She does not berth on the hard quay but anchors at the mid-stream where she discharges and load her cargoes with the aid of barges (Lighters) and 12 float in – float out barges.

In other to harness in full the opportunity offered by the maritime and shipping sector, the company floated Brawal Lines Limited which was incorporated in 1989 and was subsequently granted the status of national carrier that same year by the National Maritime Authority, now known as NIMASA, after satisfying all the criteria for the recognition.

By the establishment of this company, Ndoni River, an ocean going vessel, was acquired to augment the services of Baco Liner fleets which provide one of the most efficient Liner services between Western Europe and Africa traffic. A Liner that she commands the highest single shares
